Robert is a senior executive and management consultant in the Energy Industry covering a wide range of skills including Digital Business Transformation, Negotiations, Business Strategy, Emotional Intelligence and Succession Planning. His focus is on building capacity up to board level for C-Suite, Operations Management and Business Development Executives across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
He is a seasoned business transformation leader who goes the extra mile to ensure that enterprises are positioned to win sustainable business in digitally challenging and disruptive markets.
With more than 30 years of Energy Industry experience. Robert managed the acquisition of several large-scale projects, including the relatively recent entrance and rapid growth of Halliburton into East Africa and South Africa. He conducted the implementation of these wins by managing several projects as Country Manager for Uganda and Kenya.
Robert is recognized for his entrepreneurial drive to close deals and lead the execution of high-performance teams. He enjoys leveraging his entrepreneurial mindset to help Establish, Transform and Grow businesses.
In addition to his primary job he is a passionate mentor to students in the developing world. Robert enjoys helping developing nation students prepare for careers beyond the classroom. From 2017 to 2018 he orchestrated a series of lectures in his role as Student Mentor Chair for the Uganda Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers; the Uganda chapter won the SPE Presidents Award for excellence in 2018.
He graduated with a BSc. in Electronic Engineering from Hull University in the UK. He is a graduate in Business Leadership Development at levels I, II & III from Mays Business School at the University of Texas A&M. He is also a graduate of the CXO Transform’s course on Digital Transformation Management.
Robert is a keen traveller who launched his career in Oilfield Energy services in Scotland and Venezuela. He currently resides in Bahrain in the Middle East.
