About Sagar Shah

Sagar has been helping companies translate their business ideas into financial forecasts. These financial forecasts have ultimately helped clients raise capital (debt/equity), prepare business valuations, make acquisitions, develop their budgeting and forecasting, and identify the most efficient deployment of capital.

He has advised diverse businesses and helps companies and their Directors make relevant, informed and purposeful decisions with insight. His experience spans companies of different sizes and maturity within the agriculture, real estate, manufacturing (FMCGs), finance, hospitality and fintech sectors.

As a financial consultant, Sagar has performed several financial due diligence projects as well as forensic audit assignments.

As a former auditor, he has strong technical accounting knowledge and has signed off on audits for over 400 different clients in sectors including, but not limited to: paper & plastic manufacturing, real estate, insurance, banking, hospitals, hotels, schools, agriculture as well as providing advisory services on strengthening financial and internal controls. With this deep understanding of how businesses work, he has helped streamline internal operations of a number of our clients.

He advises clients in Asia, East Africa, Australia, Europe & the USA.

Sagar is a CPA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics & Economics & a Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science.

  • A Saudi Arabian client who invested in a start-up that rsulted in the opening of 8 football academies in across Africa;
  • The feasibility study of a capital intensive 80,000 hectare agricultural project in Thailand;
  • A commercial development in East Africa with over 3,000 retail stores, 240 serviced apartments, 1 hotel + several other different revenue centres.
  • A fintech start-up in Australia that successfully raised over $50 million from private investors. The company provides a credit payment solution where customers can purchase from their favourite stores and pay for them in instalments;
  • For a block-chain based start-up in Taiwan that was looking to price their tokens for an Initial Coin Offering

    • Audit, tax and advisory services to both large private companies as well as companies listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange
